Does anyone else find it strange that William Edward Andersen's fishing gear was never found on his boat? I just read through a couple of news articles, and it seems like that piece of info would be important. If he did plan to go fishing, wouldn't he have had his gear with him? Or maybe they just didn't mention it in the reports? Could it be possible that he wasn't really out there to fish, or maybe he had docked somewhere else after fishing and left his stuff behind? I'm not trying to speculate too wildly, but it does seem odd. It's frustrating when there are so many little missing puzzle pieces in these cases. If anyone has any more info or theories about this, I'd love to discuss it.
Did anyone else stumble upon the strange detail about the weather on the day William Andersen went missing? I came across a report indicating there were sudden changes in the weather patterns that day, which included a brief but intense storm. Now, if he was really out on Rich Passage, could that have been a factor? I'm no expert on boating, but wouldn’t a sudden storm create dangerous conditions, especially for someone in a 15-foot runabout? Or is it possible something else happened before or during the weather shift? Just trying to piece together if this could have contributed to the unfortunate outcome or if it's a red herring altogether. Anyone with a boating background have thoughts on how such a storm might have impacted William’s situation?
