I find myself reflecting on the community response to this tragedy. It’s remarkable to witness how the people of Joliet have rallied together to support the Henning family in the aftermath of such an unimaginable loss. As many of you have mentioned, while no family should have to endure this, the collective outpouring of kindness shows the strength and unity of our community. Fundraisers, memorials, and shared moments of silence seem to be offering some solace to those left behind. I keep thinking about how these moments of solidarity not only honor the memory of Makayla and Addison but also offer some light in the darkest of times. Has anyone else here been touched by the way the community has come together? It’s both heartrending and heartwarming to see people extending so much love and support.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact this tragedy had on the community's mental health services. It’s incredibly sad that Makayla and Addison lost their lives in such a horrific manner, and it makes me wonder if enough resources are available for parents struggling with similar issues. Mental health can be such a silent battle, and it seems like Celisa might have been fighting it alone for too long. It breaks my heart to think about how awareness and support might prevent future tragedies. Did anyone else in the area notice any changes in how mental health is being addressed since this happened? I hope their story isn’t forgotten and can spark some positive change.
