I came across Miguel Ford's case while going through some old articles, and it really stuck with me. I read that there were multiple shots fired in that drive-by, and it just makes me wonder about the incredible fear and chaos that must have erupted in those moments. It’s awful to think that people may have seen or heard things but are too scared to come forward. Englewood's struggle with gang violence is ongoing, and it’s harrowing to see how this kind of environment traps people in silence. What’s more, Ford’s family isn't just dealing with their unimaginable grief; they’re also battling a system where justice seems elusive. I admire how they’ve managed to turn their pain into action by organizing vigils and community events. It must be both empowering and exhausting to fight so tirelessly for the truth. Does anyone know if there have been recent developments in community initiatives or police efforts in that area? I’d love to hear if there’s any hope for breaking the cycle of violence and fear there.
