It’s so frustrating to see how little progress has been made in Dionte Land’s case after all this time. I can’t help but wonder why more resources haven’t been dedicated to solving his murder. I’ve read about other cases in neighboring areas where things seemed to move faster, and it makes me question whether enough pressure is being applied here. Dionte deserves justice, and so does his family. It’s disheartening to think that fear of retaliation might be keeping crucial witnesses silent. Is there anything more that communities can do to support these investigations without putting themselves at risk? My thoughts are with Dionte’s family as they continue this fight.

Hey all, I’ve been following the case of Dionte Land and something I’ve been thinking about a lot is the role the community might play in solving his murder. It's really sad to see such fear preventing anyone from coming forward with crucial information. I get that people are scared of retaliation, especially in areas with high crime rates, but it's so frustrating because this might be exactly what keeps us from achieving the justice Dionte and his family deserve. How can we better support witnesses to feel safe and empowered to talk to the authorities? I'm curious if there are any programs or support networks in Chicago or other cities that have successfully addressed these kinds of issues. More voices could make a difference here.
