I’ve been following David Lee Anderson’s case for a while, and I can’t stop thinking about the impression he left on so many people, especially through his love of basketball. It’s heartbreaking to imagine Nunez Park now, knowing it was once filled with his laughter and energy. The community has put up a memorial at the park, and it’s become a place of reflection and remembrance. Those who used to see David shooting hoops there truly miss his presence. This memorial stands as a silent but poignant call for change, emphasizing the need to safeguard our neighborhoods so children can have the freedom to dream fearlessly and live fully. Sending all my thoughts to his family and friends as they continue to navigate through this immense loss.
