I've been thinking about the fact that Alissa McCrann’s car was found at the trailhead three days after she went missing. It's puzzling to me that nobody noticed it there sooner, especially since the area is quite popular with hikers. Did someone assume it belonged to another visitor, or was it parked in a more out-of-the-way spot? Also, how thorough was the search of the vehicle itself? I'm curious if law enforcement found anything unusual or items missing that she might have taken on her run. It's odd when someone vanishes without a trace and makes me wonder what small details might have been overlooked. I'm hoping that someone out there remembers seeing her car or something that day. Even the smallest memory could be essential to bringing some new insight into the case.
Hey everyone, I've been following Alissa McCrann's case and I just can't shake this question about her decision to go for a run that day. Why did she choose Multnomah Falls in December? I'm from Portland and I know that area can be pretty treacherous in the winter. The trails get icy and the weather can change quickly. It's not uncommon for falls to happen, especially on the less maintained paths.
I'm also curious about the timing. I saw that she sent her last Facebook post around 10 a.m., which makes me wonder if she planned this run as a shorter outing? Maybe she had something to do later on or was expecting to return fairly soon. It just seems unusual given the usual weather conditions that time of year.
Could there have been a reason she hurried that morning, impacting her choice of clothing or preparation? I'm hoping to hear perspectives from folks familiar with the trailhead or running during that time of year in the Gorge. It might shed some light on what could've happened.
