Has anyone else been following the case of Quentaun G. McClinton from 2018? It's truly devastating to see another young life cut short by the rampant gun violence that was happening in Chicago around that time. I remember reading about how 44 people were shot that weekend alone... it's just mind-boggling. ? I was particularly struck by how little information seems to have come out after the initial investigation. It's frustrating because without substantial leads, it feels like justice might never be served, not just for Quentaun, but for so many other victims as well. I can't even imagine what his family must be going through, not having closure and being faced with such an overwhelming backlog of similar cases in the city. It makes me wonder, what more can be done? What steps can be taken to get the community involved in providing the law enforcement with any information that might help solve these cases? Surely, there has to be a way to bring these culprits to justice and prevent future tragedies. Maybe there's a success story from another city that Chicago can learn from? Just thinking aloud and hoping for answers. ?
