I’ve been following the case of William Don Curtis for a while now, and it’s been on my mind how the lack of witnesses has really hindered justice. I understand that coming forward can be incredibly intimidating, especially if you live in an area where violence is rising. But I keep thinking about Curtis’s family and how difficult it must be for them not having answers or closure after all these years.
This isn’t unique to Curtis’s case, either—it seems like a recurring issue in Baltimore during that time. Has anyone else noticed how these unsolved cases are usually tied to the same problems? It’s frustrating to see how many families are left in the dark. How can we encourage more community engagement without putting people at risk? I’d love to know if anyone has ideas or knows about efforts going on in Baltimore to address this. We need some hope here.
