I've been following the case of Marquil Carter and Vincent Martin, and my heart goes out to their family, especially knowing Marquil's son was present during such a tragic event. I can't even imagine the trauma the little one has gone through, and I hope he's receiving the support he needs.
One thing that's been on my mind is the fact that they were relatively new to the area. It makes me wonder if there was something about the move that might have played a role in the tragedy. Were they targeted because they were new and perhaps seen as vulnerable? Or maybe their decision to move somehow set off a chain of events? It's unsettling to think about how a fresh start in a new place could end in such a harrowing way.
I truly hope someone in the community steps forward with information. It's moments like these where I believe community support can really make a difference. Anyone with even a small piece of information could help provide some answers for Marquil and Vincent's loved ones.
It's been over five years, and yet the loss of Marquil Carter and Vincent Martin feels so fresh and painful for their loved ones and the community. What really haunts me about this case is the helplessness of that poor little boy who was found alive in the apartment. I can't even begin to imagine the trauma tied to losing both a father and grandfather in such a violent manner.
The fact that the police suspected the victims knew their killer seemed like such a vital lead, but it feels like this trail has gone cold without any breakthrough. Perhaps someone out there holds the missing piece—a fragment of information that might seem insignificant but could crack the case wide open.
I just hope anyone with even the slightest inkling about that day or any unfamiliar presences around 140th and Indiana back in September 2018 steps forward. The family deserves closure and answers for the heinous act that shattered their world. Let's keep this discussion alive and support the Riverdale Police in their efforts to bring the responsible party to justice. ???️
I keep thinking about Marquil Carter's young son and what he must have experienced that night. It's hard to even imagine a 2-year-old being left alone amidst such a tragedy. While I'm relieved he wasn't physically harmed, the emotional impact is something that truly haunts me. Children are so fragile, and though he may not fully understand what happened, it'll likely affect him later in life.
I hope the community continues to rally around him and his family, offering the love and support they need to begin healing.
