I've been following the tragic case of Ricardo Gomez closely, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. One aspect that really stands out to me is how quickly the police responded to the scene. It sounds like they were able to identify Edwin Calderon pretty quickly because of his tattoos and prior interactions. It's terrifying to think how brazen these guys were, carrying out a shooting in broad daylight. It's a small comfort to know the police were able to capture them before they blended into the city. I hope justice is served and that Ricardo’s family finds some peace in the midst of this senseless loss. What do you all think about the role of community policing here? Does it seem like a tangible benefit, or just a fortunate coincidence in this case?
