I recently read about the case of Daryl D. Keller, and I can’t stop thinking about the use of geofencing to catch his murderer. It’s amazing how technology has advanced, but it’s equally chilling to consider how someone’s digital footprint can become their downfall. While it brings some sense of relief that justice was served, I can only imagine what Daryl’s loved ones went through during those agonizing years without answers. Losing someone in such a senseless way is beyond tragic, and I hope the verdict brings them a bit of peace. It's a testament to how law enforcement is using every tool at their disposal to make sure those responsible face the consequences. What do you all think about the involvement of tech in solving crimes? Do you believe it’s changing the landscape for the better?
It's always tough reading about cases like Daryl D. Keller's. My thoughts go out to his family and friends who've had to endure such a long and painful wait to see justice served.
I was intrigued by the use of "geofencing" that was brought up in the trial. It’s incredible how technology is woven into our everyday lives and now even in solving crimes. It must've been a significant factor in piecing together who was at the scene. I wonder how often geofencing is used in other cases and how effective it truly is. In any event, I hope it provided Daryl’s loved ones with some clarity and relief after all these years. Though it can never bring him back, knowing that justice has been served might offer some solace.
Would love to know if others have insights or opinions on this technique—it seems like a game-changer.
