I've been following this tragedy and feel for Rodney’s family and friends, who must be going through unimaginable pain. I was thinking about the location of the tragedy—the 10300 block of South State Street. This area, like parts of Roseland, has its own set of challenges. Community dynamics in neighborhoods like this can make investigations really tough. There's often a fear factor that discourages people from coming forward, which leaves both families and investigators at a standstill. It’s so sad that this is a reality for so many communities plagued by violence. Is there anyone local who can shed more light on the efforts being made to improve safety in Roseland? It's crucial we support these initiatives because, hopefully, they can create a lasting change. My thoughts remain with Rodney’s loved ones as they seek answers and justice.
