I’ve been following the Morris and Clark case, and it's just so tragic to see two young lives lost right when they were on the verge of transformation. Being a part of Project HOOD was such a monumental step for both, especially given the positive impact Pastor Corey Brooks has had on so many. It’s heartbreaking to think that these opportunities for change can be overshadowed by the cycle of violence in their community. What really stands out to me is the potential they had to set an example for others in similar situations. By enrolling in the construction training program, they were not only looking to improve their own futures but also sending a strong message to peers that change is possible with the right support. They could have inspired others to take that brave first step towards leaving gangs and violence behind. I can't imagine what their families are going through, especially knowing how excited the two were for this fresh start. It's such a poignant reminder of why support systems like Project HOOD are crucial and why community collaboration is needed to break these cycles of retaliation and provide genuine paths for individuals seeking a way out. My thoughts are with everyone impacted by this, and I hope the investigation makes progress so justice can be served.
