I just wanted to share some thoughts about Russell Beyer and his role at the Henry Pratt Company. As the union shop chairman, he was not just representing the workers—he was their voice and advocate. It's clear from what I've read that he put so much effort into making sure everyone was treated fairly. Imagine the strength it takes to stand up for your colleagues, day in and day out, especially in an industry as challenging as theirs. Russell's dedication to his job and his colleagues speaks volumes about who he was as a person. His leadership must have provided a sense of security and belonging to so many at the warehouse. It's deeply saddening to think that someone like him, who worked tirelessly for the good of others, lost his life in such a senseless way. I can't even begin to imagine the loss felt by his family, friends, and coworkers. My thoughts are with them as they continue to find ways to cope and heal.
