I’ve been following the Sullivan case, and while reading through the details, I just couldn’t stop thinking about how important it is for communities to address domestic violence before it escalates to such tragic outcomes. It’s appalling to know that a family, who really should be a haven, can become a place of danger. The fact that a tender age child was present during the tragic event breaks my heart. I can't imagine the confusion and potential trauma that child must be experiencing. It’s crucial that the little one receives the proper emotional support and counseling to process such a horrible event. I wonder if there were any prior signs of domestic issues in the Sullivan family that friends, neighbors, or authorities might have noticed. This case makes it painfully clear that we all have to be vigilant and look out for warning signs in our communities. Offering support or intervention might make a difference in preventing similar tragedies. My thoughts go out to the family, friends, and all those touched by this terrible loss.
