Hey everyone, I’ve been reading about Darius Cox, who was tragically killed back in 2007 in West Baltimore. One thing that really stood out to me was the location — the 2100 block of West Fayette Street. It seems like it was a particularly rough area during that time, with a lot of violence happening in the neighborhood. I'm wondering if anyone remembers what the community's reaction was back then. Were there any vigils or community-led initiatives that emerged following his death? It's so devastating to think about how his family must have felt. I hope there was some support for them during such a difficult time. Maybe someone from the area can shed some light on how things were back then or if there have been any changes to address the violence in the neighborhood since. I really hope things have improved and that the community found some healing after such a tragic loss. Keeping Darius and all the other victims of that time in my thoughts. Let’s hope they find justice one day.

I was just reading about Darius Cox's case, and it's such a tragic story. He was only 17, with a whole life ahead of him. I'm really struck by how young he was and how many senseless acts of violence were happening around that time in Baltimore. It makes me wonder about the impact on his community and how his family is holding up all these years later. It must be incredibly challenging for them, especially with no suspects being identified right away. Cases like these make me think about all the other unsolved ones out there and what might have been if things had gone differently. Keeping Darius's family in my thoughts. Hoping for some breakthroughs in this case.
