I was reading about the Eddie J. Wren case, and one thing that really stood out to me is the legal aspect of how charges were handled. I can't imagine how Eddie's family feels, seeing the charges reduced from first-degree to second-degree murder. I get that the nuances of self-defense can make things complicated, but it just doesn't seem like enough justice for Eddie. Three years of probation for taking a life feels incredibly lenient. It's hard to wrap my head around how Eddie's family must have felt during the sentencing, especially after losing someone in such a tragic way. The justice system's approach can be so hard to understand sometimes. Sending my thoughts to Eddie's loved ones as they continue to process everything.
