Like many of you, I’ve been following the case of Deondre Williams, and something that's been on my mind is the vehicle involved. It was reported to be a dark-colored SUV, which makes me wonder just how many of those are in the Humboldt Park area. Has there been any talk or speculation about how these types of vehicles could be tracked or if there’s a possibility it was stolen? It's tough to grasp how the community can look out for each other when there’s so little to go on. I really hope that more details come to light soon—Deondre’s family deserves answers and justice. My thoughts are with them during what must be a truly devastating time. Let's keep the conversation going and continue to support efforts to get the word out.
I've been following the case of Deondre Williams, and while there's so much about it that's just utterly devastating, I can't help but focus on the fact that the community has been largely silent. It just blows my mind that a young man can be taken in broad daylight, and yet, there seems to be such a struggle in finding witnesses. I totally understand fear of retaliation is real, but justice for Deondre means everything for his family. I'm hoping someone with information finds the courage to speak up. Let's please keep talking about this and do what we can to support the family and help bring some light to their darkness. How are we still battling this same cycle of violence? It’s just too much. I’ve been following Deondre Williams’ case since the news broke, and I keep coming back to the lack of surveillance footage that's been mentioned. It's so frustrating that in a city as big as Chicago, and such a busy area, there doesn't seem to be anything useful to help identify who was in that dark SUV. I know privacy issues are always a concern, but you’d think there might have been some businesses or even traffic cams that caught something. His family deserves closure, and it’s so upsetting that there's been so little progress. I can’t even imagine how painful it is for them, especially with the holidays again approaching. Hoping for some kind of breakthrough or at least public pressure that encourages anyone who knows anything to come forward. Any thoughts on potential ways to get more community involvement or resources for the investigation?
