I can't stop thinking about the impact this tragedy has on Juan Linares Campos's family. I read about how much his family loved him and can't imagine the void his absence has left in their lives. Gage Park, like many other neighborhoods, is no stranger to these senseless acts of violence, but that doesn't make it any less painful for those affected. It's scary to think about how quickly a life can be taken in what seems like an instant. I hope that the community can rally together to support his family and that the detectives working on this case find some solid leads soon. This level of violence needs to stop, and we need to remember Juan not just as another statistic, but as a beloved son, friend, and member of our community.
