Hi everyone, I've been following the case of Alfonso Viramontes and what strikes me the most is the lack of progress in terms of identifying any suspects or motives. It’s been such a long time, and I can only imagine how exhausting this must be for his family and friends, not to mention the ripple effects it has on the neighborhood. Gun violence has left such a scar on communities like Back of the Yards, and it’s crucial for us to keep the conversation going. One aspect I've been pondering is the role of ShotSpotter in this investigation. It’s great that it alerted the police so quickly, but what more can be done to turn such incidents into resolved cases? Are there any other tech advancements or community strategies being discussed in similar neighborhoods that could be implemented here? Please share if anyone has updates or thoughts on this. Alfonso's loved ones deserve some answers and peace. Let's keep them in our thoughts and continue to raise awareness. Stay safe, and let’s hope justice is served soon.
