I've been thinking a lot about the location where Francisco was tragically shot. The 1700 block of West 48th Street in Chicago has such a complicated history with gang activity. It seems like there are too many innocent lives being lost due to violence in these neighborhoods. My heart goes out to Francisco's family and friends. He was caught up in something so senseless, and it makes me wonder what more can be done to address these issues. The community has to come together to find a way to stop the cycle of violence. Has anyone here lived in or frequently visited that area? It would be insightful to hear how people in the neighborhood are coping and what changes they think could help prevent such tragedies.
