Hey everyone,
I’ve been reading up on Jerry Ross Cottingham's case, and something that’s been bugging me is how someone legally blind could just disappear like that, especially considering he couldn't drive. It seems strange that he went to the casino alone, especially since he lived on his mother’s property in Kildare, which isn’t too far. Maybe he knew someone there who offered him a ride, or maybe there was someone watching out for folks who seemed vulnerable? The fact that his family says it's unlike him to be out of touch makes me think he didn't plan to be gone. It’s like he just vanished into thin air.
Also, the whole thing with him having just received his disability check seems like an important detail. Could that have made him a target? It’s frustrating seeing cases like this where there are so many potential angles yet nothing substantial to lead to resolution.
If anyone has insights or cared to dive deeper into similar cases where mobility issues were a factor, I’d be interested to hear your thoughts. This case really needs fresh eyes or at least a different perspective to piece things together.
Thanks for reading.
Has anyone dug into the security footage from the Osage Casino on the day Jerry went missing? Casinos usually have pretty comprehensive surveillance systems, so it seems like there would be footage of him coming and going, or maybe clues about who he interacted with while there. I've read that sometimes footage can go mysteriously missing or is overwritten if not secured promptly, which is frustrating... I hope that's not the case here. If anyone has any recent updates or insights into whether law enforcement has reviewed this footage extensively, please share. It's puzzling how he could just vanish without leaving behind any trace.
