I’ve been following Sergio Cervantes’ case since it happened, and the part that really baffles me is the lack of any movement or updates. It’s been over three years, and still, no arrests or named suspects? I can't grasp how frustrating this must be for Sergio's family and dear ones. It seems impossible to imagine such a young, promising life ending this way and the culprits still roaming free. It's incredibly disheartening that there are no witnesses coming forward. Are people too scared, or do they genuinely know nothing? I can only hope that with the advancement of technology and increased community efforts, there will be a breakthrough soon. Sergio’s family deserves answers and justice, and the community should push harder to create a safe space for those who might have information. The situation shines a light on just how complex the fight against gun violence is in cities like Chicago. We need more than just hope; actionable steps must be taken both by the authorities and the residents. Let’s keep Sergio’s memory alive by continuing to call attention to his story and urging anyone with information to come forward.
