Has anyone else been thinking about that accident Edward "John" Abeyta was in right before he went missing? From what I gathered, it happened near Rocky Ford on the morning of June 29, 2016, and later, he complained of a terrible headache. I'm wondering if this could be more significant than we realize. Could this accident have affected him more than it was apparent at the time? Perhaps it might have contributed to his decision to go for that walk. It’s odd because he left without saying where he was going, and he didn’t take anything with him. These details just make me ponder if his state of mind after the accident is a factor we haven't fully explored yet. Any thoughts or similar cases where an accident prompted someone to just up and vanish?

Hey folks, I’ve been following Edward "John" Abeyta’s case since I heard about it a while back. Something that’s been bugging me is the fact there were no traces of him after he left his house that afternoon. With the accident earlier in the day, you'd think he might have contacted someone for help or at least been spotted on security cam footage around town. I mean, Rocky Ford is a pretty small place, right? Given the tight-knit nature of the community, I wonder if anyone might have seen him but not realized it was important at the time. Also, I keep thinking there might’ve been some signs or clues at the site of the accident itself that might’ve been missed or seem more relevant now, considering he was reported to have been troubled. Did anyone local ever talk about road conditions that day or if any other drivers came forward with more details? Such a puzzle. I hope someday we can piece more of it together because disappearing like that does not feel right, especially without a trace.
