Troy Wayne Walton, a 48-year-old father of three and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, was last seen July 1, 2016, in the vicinity of Fitzgerald’s Casino in Tunica, Mississippi. He is described as a white male, 5 feet 5 inches, 185–190 pounds, with short balding brown hair, brown eyes, and glasses. Distinctive tattoos include a skull wearing a hat on his right shoulder, a USMC bulldog on his left forearm, a panther with the initials TW and a cross on his left shoulder, and a skull with a dagger and a snake on his left forearm. He was reportedly wearing blue jeans when last seen.

Investigators traced his last known location to a cell phone ping near the casino, but were unable to locate any surveillance footage of him at or near the property that day. His vehicle was found parked at his home in Southaven, Mississippi. Family members say it was unusual for him to be out of contact for more than a week and believe he would not have left his children without explanation. The DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department is handling the active missing person investigation under agency case number 2016-48119 and NamUs ID MP36047; Detective Louie Hutchins is assigned to the case.

What information might help clarify Walton’s movements the day his phone pinged near the casino?
