I was reading some of the details surrounding Jamonte Allison's tragic death, and my heart truly goes out to his family and friends. There's something about the way this case unfolded that really got me thinking. I can't imagine how heavy it must be for the family, especially Regina Wilson, to have to relive all those emotions every time they visit the memorial. I noticed that, along with his love for sports, Jamonte cherished sharing jokes and making others smile. It's often overlooked how much someone's sense of humor can positively impact those around them. It seems like he brought a lot of joy and laughter to folks in Carbondale. I hope the community can continue to uphold that spirit, perhaps by organizing community events or fundraisers in his name. Keeping that laughter alive might be a beautiful tribute to him.
