I’ve been following the tragic case of Cedric Yarborough, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. It’s painful to think about the number of young lives that were taken during that period, particularly in Baltimore. I wanted to focus on the community's response because I read about some local initiatives trying to tackle the issue of violence back then. Does anyone remember any of those grassroots programs or community efforts? How effective were they in supporting families affected by violence or in preventing further tragedies like Cedric's? I think it's important to remember not just the crime, but also the efforts to bring peace and healing to neighborhoods torn apart by such senseless acts.
