Hi everyone,
I want to take a moment to talk about something that really struck me regarding Aisha Nevell-Johnson's tragic death. From everything I've read, it seems like Aisha was doing her job as a security guard, just going about her daily routine, like any of us would on a typical day. The fact that she was senselessly shot while simply doing her job is deeply unsettling. We often take for granted those who work hard to ensure our safety, and it's chilling to think how unexpectedly and violently that safety can be shattered.
Aisha had family, friends, and coworkers who cared about her, and I can't even begin to imagine what they're going through or how they're processing such an unimaginable loss. I think sometimes, in discussing these cases, it's easy to focus on the perpetrator and the timeline of events, but it's crucial we don't forget the people who were taken from this world too soon and the spaces they leave behind.
Let's try to honor Aisha's memory by remembering her as more than just a victim in this awful crime. She was a person with a life full of moments, big and small, that mattered. Thinking of her family and all those affected. ?
Would love to hear your thoughts or any details people have come across about Aisha's life or ways others are finding to send support to her loved ones.
Stay safe, everyone. ?
