I was reading about Vonshea Norman's case, and what really struck me was the involvement of a young 14-year-old witness. Imagining a kid having to witness something as terrifying as a murder is so troubling. The bravery it must take for someone so young to come forward and identify a suspect is incredible. It's heartbreaking knowing that children in these communities have to grow up in environments where violence can happen right outside their windows. I truly hope that the justice he helped provide will offer some peace and drive future efforts to create safer neighborhoods. Thinking of Vonshea’s family and everyone affected, including the young witness, in this trying time.
