I’ve been following Derrick Phillips’s case, and I can’t help but feel for his family and friends. Having a loved one taken away from you so violently without any answers is just unimaginable. I was reading about the conditions the police were dealing with back in 2008, and it sounds like they were totally swamped. It’s crazy that out of 21 homicides that month, only one was solved. I can understand how that workload could make it tough for detectives to give each case the attention it really deserves. I genuinely hope that over time, there will be some breakthroughs or someone with information might finally come forward. It’s been long overdue for these families to have some peace and justice. Baltimore has come a long way since then, but it's a reminder that there’s still so much work to be done. Sending thoughts to Derrick’s loved ones and all those affected by similar tragedies. ?✨
