I was just reading more about the case of Everett Alton Johnson III, and something that keeps sticking with me is the impact this has on his community. It’s incredibly difficult to see another young life lost in Auburn Gresham, especially when nothing seems to be changing. The community there has been through so much, and it's clear people are trying to come together and demand action, but it feels like there’s a constant uphill battle against the violence. It's also troubling that after all this time, there hasn't been any progress with arrests or suspects. I can only imagine how tough it is for Everett's family and friends, knowing that his killer is still out there. It’s such a somber reminder of the need for increased community engagement and resources to prevent these tragedies. I hope that somehow, someone comes forward with information to give Everett’s loved ones the closure they need. It’s so important that his case doesn’t fall through the cracks. Anyone else see similar issues in their communities, or have any advice on how residents can push for change?
