Does anyone else find it incredibly disturbing that no arrests have been made yet in connection to the Englewood shooting? It’s been a while since that tragic day, and I can’t stop thinking about Denice Mathis and her kids. Just imagining what they're going through without their mom breaks my heart. Her taking them to Six Flags shows how committed she was to giving them happy experiences despite the challenges. I really hope CPD can make some progress in their investigation soon. Why do you think cases like this sometimes take so long to resolve? Is it a lack of evidence or something else entirely? Would love some insights from anyone who might have experience or knowledge about these investigations.

Has anyone else been thinking about the wider implications this tragedy has on the community, beyond just the immediate loss of life? It really hit me when I read about how Denice Mathis had recently taken her kids to Six Flags. It speaks so much to her as a mom trying to create lasting, happy memories despite the uncertainties in life. But now, those five kids are left without their mother—a devastating reality that underscores the systemic issues at play here. I'm frustrated and beyond sad for her family, especially knowing this shooting was spurred by an argument. How can such senseless violence upend so many lives in an instant? There's this feeling of helplessness knowing no arrests have been made, and yet, it feels like so much more is needed than just arrests. The community needs healing, resources, and stronger measures to prevent this from repeating. It's remarkable to see community activists and family members calling for justice and change, but will the city respond? I sincerely hope more people join in advocating for safer environments to protect families like Denice's, who deserve peace and safety in their neighborhood.
