Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the circumstances around Kimora's tragic passing. It's been heartbreaking to read about how her future was cut short and all she had dreamed of becoming. I wanted to focus on something that hasn't been discussed as much in the threads I've seen: the role of the community and school in supporting kids like Kimora. The East St. Louis School District stepped up to offer counseling and support, which is critical. But I wonder if there are more ways the community can come together to ensure kids feel supported and heard before tragedy strikes. Maybe mentorship programs or after-school creative outlets could make a difference? Just thinking out loud here, but I believe that when a community wraps around its young people, we can make strides in preventing such tragedies. Kimora deserved so much more, and it's on all of us to remember her by pushing for better resources and connections for kids in our communities. Sending strength and love to Kimora's family, friends, and everyone else grieving.
