It's been almost two years since we lost JB, and the pain still feels fresh for so many who knew him. It’s particularly devastating when a person who dedicated so much of their life to uplifting others is taken so violently. While we wait for justice, I keep wondering how something so tragic could happen to someone so invested in making positive changes in his community. It’s frustrating that the investigation hasn’t yielded much despite the community’s eager support for any leads. Does anyone else feel that maybe community programs like the ones JB was involved in might hold the key to preventing future tragedies? It’s clear that JB’s work was deeply meaningful, and maybe, by doubling down on his vision, we can honor his memory in the most impactful way. On another note, if any of you locals have attended recent community meetings or rallies for JB, your insights on any updates or witness statements would be really helpful and comforting to hear.
