I was going through some old newspaper archives trying to find any mention of Lee Yazzie Jr. and came across a couple of articles from the early '70s that mentioned other missing persons cases in the area. Do you all think it's possible that there might have been some sort of pattern or similarity between these cases? I know it’s a long shot since it was over 50 years ago, but maybe there's an angle the original investigation didn't fully explore. Could there have been a serial offender active during that time? Just something to think about—especially for those of us who like to dig into the context and wider circumstances of these cases. Anyone else come across similar cases in that area and timeframe?
Hi everyone,
I've been following the Lee Yazzie Jr. case for a while now, and something curious struck me. I came across an old newspaper clipping from 1972 that mentioned a local event happening around the same time Lee disappeared. It seems there was a fair going on in the area with quite a few out-of-towners attending. Could it be possible that someone from outside the community might have seen something or even interacted with Lee that day? I’m speculating here, but it’s worth considering if anyone locally remembers anything related to the fair that might have been overlooked. Anyone here have family or connections that lived in the area back then? Just trying to piece things together. Thoughts?
Has anyone looked into any potential sightings of Lee Yazzie Jr. after his disappearance in 1972? Sometimes people go off the grid and might resurface years later, especially in another region or under a different identity. Although it’s been decades, there might be unreported sightings or records in another part of the country. Has the family ever revisited the idea of distributing more recent aged-progressed images in broader areas? It's always a long shot, but worth considering if it hasn't been done recently. Just thinking out loud here, hoping there's new ground that can be covered to get some answers.
