I've been following Danton Shelton's case, and it's so deeply sad to see yet another young life cut short by violence. I've been thinking a lot about the East Garfield Park neighborhood and the challenges it faces with these ongoing tragedies. Does anyone else feel like the community needs more support to address the underlying issues contributing to such violence? It breaks my heart to think of families torn apart while waiting for justice. I really hope someone with information finds the courage to speak up and help bring peace to Danton’s family. It just feels like there’s so much more that can be done to prevent these senseless acts. What do you all think could make a difference?
