Hey all, I came across Andrew Goodwin's case recently and felt compelled to share a thought. Does anyone else find it frustrating how the issue of witness reluctance plays such a huge role in cases like this? I mean, it’s totally understandable given the fear that witnesses might have given the area's history, but it still makes me sad thinking about the fact that Andrew's family is left without closure because of it. From what I’ve read, there were people in the vicinity when he was shot, yet it seems nobody has come forward. What can communities do to create a safer environment for those willing to speak up? Maybe that way, families like Andrew's can finally find the justice they deserve. Would love to hear your thoughts. Keeping his family in my prayers. ?
I came across Andrew Goodwin's case recently while reading about the numerous unsolved homicides in Baltimore. My heart truly goes out to his family and friends, who must still be yearning for answers after all these years. One aspect that really struck me is the lack of witness testimony available back then. I wonder if it’s the fear of retaliation or just a general disengagement from the community that has kept so many people silent. It’s such a chilling reminder of how critical community involvement is when trying to solve cases like this.
I can’t help but think about how advancements in forensic technology have brought resolution to other cold cases. Perhaps, if more people came forward or if any new technology could be applied to the evidence available from that time, there might still be hope for Andrew’s case. I just hope that someday his family gets the answers and justice they so desperately need. Does anyone know if there have been any recent pushes from the police or community to revisit this case?
