I’ve been thinking a lot about the community response to Darius Love’s tragic death. It’s clear that his loss is deeply felt across the Chatham neighborhood and beyond. What's been really remarkable is seeing how his family and friends have come together to honor his memory while also advocating for change. I've read about community vigils and gatherings where people are not only remembering Darius but also discussing ways to address the ongoing violence in their neighborhood. It’s a testament to the resilience and solidarity of those who knew him and others impacted by similar tragedies. It's extremely frustrating that no arrests have been made yet. I just hope those efforts bring together more people who may have any information that could finally point the investigators in the right direction. Darius’s loved ones deserve answers and justice, and I hope the community’s voice continues to push for change and accountability.
