I was reading about the tragic murder of Jesus Brant Jr. and I just can't help but think about how much his loved ones are going through. His sister, Lisa, has been so strong and persistent in her pursuit of justice, standing up and sharing their story despite the pain it must bring her. It’s hard to imagine how difficult it must be to lose someone in such a violent way and then have to fight to get any answers or accountability. I really admire how the Brant family has joined forces with local organizations to not only seek justice for Jesus but also bring attention to the bigger issue of gun violence that affects so many families in Chicago. It’s just so moving to see such resilience and determination. My heart goes out to the Brant family, and I truly hope they find the closure they deserve soon. If anyone has any leads, no matter how small, I hope they gather the courage to come forward.
