Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about the role technology played in bringing justice for Azucena Vargas. It's so chilling yet incredible that surveillance footage was able to track Umar Ayuba’s actions that night. Can you imagine how difficult solving cases like this must have been just a couple of decades ago? It’s truly a testament to how far investigative techniques have come. The fact that they found Azucena's phone in his sock drawer just adds another layer to how meticulously they worked to gather evidence. My heart really goes out to her family and friends, having to relive that night through the trial and evidence must have been beyond painful. It's important we keep discussing these cases and using the lessons learned to prevent future tragedies. Does anyone here think there’s more we could be doing to prevent domestic violence situations from escalating to this point? Thanks for letting me share my thoughts. Stay safe out there.
