Does anyone else find it strange that there was absolutely no sign of a struggle at Robert Kelley Jr. and Ida Faye Basco's home back in '79? It’s been gnawing at me how both of them, along with their vehicle, just vanished without a trace. Typically, you’d expect something to be amiss if two people and their car simply disappear overnight, but investigators found zilch at their place on Hooshootoo Road. It’s like they just willingly left everything behind, but that doesn’t line up with the fact that their families are desperate for answers. Did anyone ever consider if they had plans to leave and start fresh somewhere? Or could their disappearance have been more calculated by someone else, maybe leading them away from home deliberately? Would love to hear everyone's theories or if anyone knows of similar cases where there were no signs of struggle whatsoever.
I’ve been digging into the case of Robert Kelley Jr. and Ida Faye Basco, and something that stands out to me is the location from which they vanished: Hooshootoo Road. It's a pretty rural area, right? I can’t help but wonder if someone local might have had knowledge of the area and could have helped in their disappearance. It seems so strange for two people and their car to just disappear without someone noticing something. Has anyone looked into any potential connections with the neighbors or if there were any unusual activities reported around that time? Just thinking out loud here, but perhaps someone who knew the area well could have taken advantage of its seclusion. Any thoughts on how the geography might have played a role in this case?
Has anyone else ever wondered about the significance of the vehicle that disappeared with Robert Kelley Jr. and Ida Faye Basco? It feels like such a critical piece in their unsolved case from 1979. I mean, it's not just the two individuals who vanished without a trace, but also whatever car they were in. From what I’ve read, the vehicle was never found either, which makes me think about how easily it could have been concealed or possibly ended up somewhere less obvious. Could it have been abandoned and possibly dismantled or hidden in a way that left no trace after all these years? Also, in a case like theirs, without any sign of a struggle at their home, could the car have been the key to whatever happened that day? It’s eerie to think that a whole vehicle can just be gone like that, leaving absolutely no leads or evidence. Just throwing some thoughts out here. Would love to hear if anyone has more info or theories!
