I keep thinking about the immense pain that Carlos Villagomez's family must be feeling. Losing a loved one so tragically and unexpectedly must be incredibly hard to process. It’s alarming how a party, which should have been a fun gathering, ended in such a shocking way. The gun violence in neighborhoods like Logan Square has been a persistent issue, and this incident once again brings it to the forefront. The community needs healing, but more importantly, we need actionable steps to prevent anything like this from happening again. My thoughts go out to everyone affected by this senseless act, and I hope for justice and peace for Carlos's family and friends. Does anyone know if there are any community initiatives underway in Logan Square to address this violence or support the victim’s family?
