I was reading about the tragic loss of Shawntel "Man-Man" Howze Jr., and my heart goes out to his family and everyone affected. I can't help but think about the immense potential he had, especially being so involved in sports and his community. It’s not every day you come across someone who uses their talents to lift others, like mentoring the kids in his neighborhood. It’s such a huge loss for Springfield, both in terms of the bright future Shawntel had ahead of him and the positivity he spread in the lives he touched. Cases like this highlight how crucial it is for our communities to rally together and support one another.
