Hey everyone, I can’t stop thinking about the role our community needs to play in situations like the one involving Quentin Branch and Michael Hence. It’s devastating that these two young boys have lost their lives, and the thought that there are still no arrests is deeply troubling. I was just at a community meeting yesterday and it was clear that everyone feels frustrated and helpless, but there were also a lot of discussions about what steps we can take to make our neighborhoods safer for all our kids. One idea that stood out was the formation of more active neighborhood watch groups. It feels like as a community we need to come together and keep an eye out for each other's children — making sure they feel safe whether they’re walking to school or playing outside. It could also help in gathering crucial information for authorities that could lead to justice for Quentin and Michael. I’m really curious to hear what you all think. Has anyone been involved in a neighborhood watch or similar community safety program? Do you think it’s an effective tool in preventing these tragedies, or should we be looking at other avenues for solutions? Let’s keep the conversation going and push for the change that Quentin and Michael, and all of our kids, deserve.

I just can't stop thinking about the spot where Quentin and Michael were found. Vacant homes seem like forgotten places, and to imagine that’s where their lives ended is really hard to process. It makes me wonder about the roles these abandoned properties play in so many unfortunate events like this one. Does anyone know if there have been efforts to address the vacant buildings issue in the Roseland area? It feels like the community deserves to have safe spaces where kids aren’t at risk of running into danger. My heart goes out to the families and everyone affected. Let’s hope for some progress on this front soon.
