Has anyone heard any new updates on Benjamin Shane Ridley's case? It’s baffling that he wasn't reported missing until 2017. I can't stop thinking about how difficult it must have been for his family and friends during all those years of silence. It raises so many questions about the system and how these things happen. Also, does anyone know if there were any sightings in Seattle back in the '80s? I wonder if there was any interaction with local businesses or shelters that might have been overlooked? It’d be great if they could re-interview anyone from that era who might still be around. Let's keep sharing whatever we can to help bring some sort of resolution to this case.
I came across the case of Benjamin Shane Ridley while diving into cold cases, and something about it really caught my attention. I can't wrap my head around why he wasn't reported missing until 2017, which is a massive gap. Does anyone know if there were any specific circumstances within his family or the foster system that might have influenced this delay? It seems so unusual, especially since he was just 15 at the time. I feel like this angle might hold some clues or at least offer more context. Also, does anyone know the current status of the investigation now that 6 more years have passed since the report? With the release of age-progression images, I hope someone out there can recognize him and bring some closure to this longstanding mystery.
Has anyone else been following the case of Benjamin Shane Ridley? I can't wrap my head around the fact that he wasn't reported missing until 2017, 35 years later! That's such a lengthy amount of time, and I can’t help but wonder why it took so long. Was it just a tragic oversight or something more complex? If he truly intended to go back to his biological family, could it be that someone knew and never reported it? Or perhaps it's more about the systemic issues back in the ‘80s regarding foster care cases? It's frustrating how many questions remain and how few answers there seem to be. Would love to hear thoughts from others who might have more insights or opinions on delayed reports in these kinds of cases.
