I've been thinking a lot about the role of stolen firearms in tragic cases like Chaves Bradley's murder. It really makes you wonder how a 14-year-old got his hands on a stolen .40 caliber pistol to begin with. The fact that it was stolen from a home in Naperville makes me think about the ripple effects of gun theft. Does anyone else feel like there needs to be more focus on preventing stolen firearms from ending up in the wrong hands? Maybe stricter regulations on gun storage or more thorough checks on missing firearms could make a difference. It's so sad to think about how this weapon, initially intended for someone else's safety, was instead used in such a terrible way. My heart goes out to Chaves' family and friends who have to deal with this senseless loss, and I hope we can learn from these incidents to try to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
