I've been reading about Marshal Jim Hammond's case, and I can't help but think about his family, especially his six kids. Losing a parent is never easy, and the fact that he was taken away so suddenly while doing his job must've been incredibly tough on them. I hope the community rallied around them at that time. It's a stark reminder of how much law enforcement officers put on the line every day. For those still in Statham or with ties to the family, I'd be interested to hear if there's anything being done or remembered in his name today. It feels important to continue honoring those who sacrifice so much for the safety of us all.
