Reading about Teresa's case has me thinking about the quick action (or lack thereof) from law enforcement back in 1976. With Teresa's car missing after the robbery, I wonder if there was a quick alert put out for her Pontiac Grand Prix. It's a little unsettling to imagine the possibility that a quicker response might have made a difference in locating her or the suspects sooner. It's a reminder of the importance of fast coordination with neighboring jurisdictions when a vehicle is involved in a kidnapping. My heart goes out to Teresa's family and friends who, I'm sure, desperately awaited any news during those awful days. Hoping for justice must have been both a solace and an endless torment.
I’ve been thinking a lot about Teresa's car, the Pontiac Grand Prix that was taken that awful night. It strikes me how her car was central to this crime. To think it ended up with Roosevelt Green Jr. when he was arrested in South Carolina—such a haunting piece of this tragic puzzle. It feels like her car, something we often associate with safety and freedom, became part of the nightmare for Teresa. It’s chilling to consider what she must have gone through inside that vehicle. I can't help but hope that, in a small way, its discovery led the authorities to trace some justice for Teresa. My heart goes out to Teresa’s family and those who knew her. I hope her story continues to be told, and we never forget the young woman she was.
