Hey everyone! I’ve been following Eric Daniel Minnis’s case for a while, and something that keeps catching my attention is the use of his Social Security number after his disappearance. It makes me think about how effective anonymity was back in the 1980s. It's strange to think that someone could potentially live under an alias for so long with hardly a trace. I keep wondering how many times this might have happened in other missing persons cases from that era.
The fact that Eric's SSN was used under different names might indicate some form of intent or necessity to disappear. Do you all think it's possible that someone could maintain such a double life for over three decades? Or could it have been someone else entirely misusing his information? It's just a haunting idea that’s stuck with me. Would love to hear your thoughts or if any other cases come to mind with similar circumstances.
Hey everyone,
I was digging into Eric Daniel Minnis's case, and something I found intriguing is the usage of his Social Security number after he disappeared. It's really curious how it was used under different names, especially with names like Ronald Gene Smoker popping up. Could this mean he started a new life, or was someone else exploiting his identity? I mean, it's odd that they not only continued using it but also didn't get caught for so long.
It's baffling how little trace there is of him beyond these financial breadcrumbs. It's so sad that leads just seem to hit a roadblock after a while. Have any of you seen similar cases where a missing person’s identity gets used like this? Is there more that could be done with technology today to figure out who might have been using it? Would love to hear your thoughts or if anyone has seen similar patterns elsewhere.
What a complicated puzzle this is. Let's keep sharing and see if we can piece together more about where Eric might have gone.
