Reading about the Resendez family murders, I can’t get past the role that Jerry Johnny Thompson played in all of this. It's shocking to think that someone so entwined in the same community could have information so crucial to solving such a horrific case and yet choose to participate in these events. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been for the victim's families to sit in court and hear him recount the events that led to this tragedy. Knowing that his information was instrumental in convicting Alexander Woods III must bring some relief to the community and the families involved. However, the fact that it all stemmed from drug trafficking and debts just adds another layer of tragedy. It’s a stark reminder of how such a toxic mix can unravel so many lives. My heart goes out to anyone who knew Katrina and her family—they didn’t deserve this.
